Requirements:

The candidate should possess a M.Sc. in Plant Pathology with 1-2 years of relevant experience.  Extensive experience in seed health testing, pathogen diagnosis and identification is essential.

The candidate must be highly motivated and have excellent computer and communication skills in English (both written and spoken) and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Scientific Officer – Legumes Pathology

ICRISAT seeks applications from Indian nationals for the post of Scientific Officer – Legumes Pathology to be based at Patancheru, Andhra Pradesh, India. This is a nationally recruited position.

ICRISAT is a non-profit, apolitical, international organization for science-based agricultural development. Established in 1972, it is an Alliance of centers of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), and supported by more than 48 governments, foundations, and development banks. To reduce poverty, enhance crop productivity and food security and to protect the environment, ICRISAT research focuses on farming systems and crop improvement, management and utilization of sorghum, pearl millet, pigeonpea, chickpea, and groundnut in the semi-arid tropics.

Responsibilities:

• To conduct field, greenhouse and laboratory experiments related to chickpea and pigeonpea diseases.
• To develop required data sheets, data collection, data analysis and prepare draft reports related to Legumes Pathology. 
• Supervise various field and greenhouse operations and manage laboratory inventories.
• To conduct surveys and participate in chickpea and pigeonpea on-station research and other related jobs from time to time.

Requirements:

M.Sc (Ag.) in Plant Pathology with 1-2 years of relevant experience; High skill of culturing, maintaining and increasing inoculum of fungal pathogens essential. The candidate must be highly motivated and have excellent computer and communication skills in English (both written and spoken); and ability to work in multidisciplinary team.

General: 

The position is for three years, renewable based on the performance of the incumbent and the Institute's continuing need for the position. An attractive compensation is offered for the right candidate.

Pay Band‐ `9300‐34800 (PB‐2) with Grade Pay of Rs.4600/‐ on an initial basic pay of `17,140/‐ p.m. + Allowances
Essential Qualification: (i) Graduate from a recognized University (preferably in commerce) with SAS or 3 months training in cash and accountancy conducted by ISTM (ii) 3 years experience in accounts and audit (iii) Knowledge of work experience of government rules and regulations.

1. Medical Social Worker – 1 post (UR)

Pay Scale / Band‐ `5200‐20200 (PB‐1) with Grade Pay of `2800 on an initial basic

Essential Qualification: (i) Graduate with Diploma in Medical Records keeping.
(ii)Two years work experience in a Govt. / autonomous organization, dealing with
patient’s records.

3. Ear Mould Technician ‐ 1 post ‐ PH(HH/OH)*‐1

(iii) Registered as Rehabilitation Personnel under Rehabilitation Council of India Act 1992.
Desirable: One year experience in the related field.
