Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL) emerged as a new Company in the year 2002, after demerger from Hindustan Fertilizer Corporation Ltd. It is the first factory of its kind to use associated natural gas as basic raw material for producing nitrogenous fertilizer. The production Units of the Corporation situated at Namrup, Assam have been revamped and modernized recently.
