1.R&D in beneficiation of lean ores and utilization of wastes
2.R&D in mineral processing technology, agglomeration and thermodynamic studies on ores
3.R&D in hydrometallurgy, with emphasis on ion exchange and solvent extraction
4.R&D in forming, formability and thermomechanical processing of metals and alloys
5.R&D in analysis of service failures of metallic components
6.R&D in joining of alloys, including advanced methods of solid state joining
7.R&D in mechanical behaviour of materials at elevated temperatures, with emphasis on creep, fatigue and fracture
8.R&D in development of coatings for industrial applications, including their tribological characterisation and corrosion resistance
