Safdarjang Hospital proposes to fill up one post of Specialist Grade-II (Cardiology), on contract basis, as per the detail given below and on the terms and conditions as given hereunder:
1.    Remuneration: Rs.55,000/- p.m. consolidated.  The contractual appointee will not be entitled to any allowances, financial benefits or concessions as admissible to Govt. employees.  Income Tax will be deducted at source on monthly basis.
2.    Age: Candidate should not be more than 45 years of age on the date of interview.
3.    The contractual employment will be for a period of one year only or till regular incumbents join the hospital whichever is earlier.  The services of the appointee are also terminable before expiry of the contractual period by either side after giving 30 days notice or salary in lieu thereof.  The selection is purely contractual in nature and does not confer any right for regularization or permanent absorption.

Educational qualification:
(I)     A recognized medical qualification included in the first or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.  Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
(II)   Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma in the concerned specialty as mentioned in Section-A or Section-B in Schedule-VI or equivalent.
(III)  3 (Three) years’ experience in the concerned specialty after obtaining the Post-graduate degree or 5 years’ experience after obtaining the Post-graduate diploma.

Suitable and willing candidates may walk in for interview on 24.01.2011.  Candidates should report in the Room No.513, 5th Floor, OPD Block, Safdarjang Hospital, New Delhi at 11:30 A.M. positively along with original and photocopies of relevant documents duly attested and application along with Bio-Data on plain paper super-scribing the name of the post applied for, and two passport size photographs.

1. Specialist Grade II (Sports Medicine) - 01 vacancy
(Non Teaching sub-cadre of CHS) for Sports Injury Centre, S.J. Hospital

Educational qualifications: A Qualification included in part I or Part II of the Schedule to the Dentist Act, 1948 (16 of 1948).  Should be registered with a Dental Council. MDS prosthodontics having three years teaching experience.

3. Asstt. Professor (Cardiology) - 01 vacancy
(Teaching sub-cadre of CHS)
Educational qualifications: An MBBS qualification recognized by Medical Council of India included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than that licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.  Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II or the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

Post-Graduate Degree in the concerned Super Specialty as mentioned in Section-A of Schedule-VI or equivalent.

Three years teaching experience as Senior Resident/Tutor/Demonstrator/Registrar in the concerned Super Specialty in a recognized teaching institution after obtaining Post-graduate degree.

Note: In case of holder of D.M/M.Ch., qualification of five years duration, the period of Senior P.G. Residency rendered in the last part of the said D.M/M.Ch. shall be counted towards requirement of five years experience

4. Medical Physicist - 02 vacancies
Educational Qualification: (A)  M.Sc. in Radiological Physics or Medical Physics from a recognized University; or
(B)   M.Sc. in General Physics with one year postgraduate diploma course in Radiological or Medical Physics conducted by BARC or its equivalent.

Desirable: Two years experience of working in a Radiotherapy department/ Medical Physics.
