Indian Council of Medical Research is a premier medical research organization, dealing with health research in various areas in collaboration with national and international agencies through its 28 institutes/centers and a large number of field stations situated all over the country with state of the art infrastructural facilities, desires to appoint Directors of the following institutes/centers in the Pay Band-4 Rs.37400-67000 plus Grade Pay of Rs.10000.  Selected candidates will be entitled to usual allowances including NPA as admissible as per Government Norms.

Applications are invited upto 31/03/2011  for the posts of Directors at the following Institute/ Centres of ICMR:

Director - Tuberculosis Research Centre(TRC), Chennai
Qualification and Experience: Essential:
    (i)  Postgraduate degree in Medical subjects recognized by MCI or Doctorate Degree in Life/Biological Sciences or relevant biological subjects or statistics from a recognized university or equivalent.
    (ii)  Fifteen years research experience in the required area of mycobacterial diseases specially TB & HIV.

    Desirable:
    (i)     Additional post-doctoral research or teaching experience in relevant subjects after M.D/Ph.D.
    (ii)     Knowledge of Computer Applications.

Director - Institute of Cytology & Preventive Oncology, Noida
Qualification & Experience : Essential:
    (i) Postgraduate degree in medical subjects recognized by MCI or Doctorate Degree in Life/Biological Sciences or relevant biological subjects or statistics from a recognized University or equivalent.
    (ii) Fifteen years research experience in the required area(different aspects of oncology).

    Desirable:
    (i)             Additional Post doctoral research or teaching experience in relevant subjects after M.D./Ph.D.
    (ii)             Knowledge of Computer Applications.

Director - Desert Medicine Research Centre, Jodhpur
Qualification & Experience : Essential:
    (i) Postgraduate degree in medical subjects recognized by MCI or Doctorate Degree in Life/Biological Sciences or relevant biological subjects or statistics from a recognized University or equivalent.
    (ii) Fifteen years research experience in the required area as mentioned in the profile of the Institute.

    Desirable: (i) Additional Post doctoral research or teaching experience in relevant subjects after Ph.D.
    (ii) Knowledge of Computer Applications.
