Goa Shipyard Limited a Public Sector Company under the Ministry of Defense, is presently engaged in the activities of designing and building special purpose modern sophisticated ships for the Navy , Coast Guard, Commercial and Export segment.

Post  for Technical Asst. Grade II (Ship Repairs and General Engineering Services - Mechanical)
Age Limit :  28 years as on 30.11.2010
Experience : Full time Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 02 years experience in the shipbuilding industry or ship repair works. Candidates with experience in the line of Shipyards / Ship repair yards / Indian Navy / Indian Coast Guard / Shore based Marine establishments having experience in installation, maintenance and overhaul of Water jet propulsion (preferably Hamilton / Kamewa), Marine Engines (preferably Cummins / Catapillar /  Volvopenta) Gear Boxs (preferably ZF / Twin Disc), Diesel Generators, Air-conditioning Units, other ship borne communication and navigational equipments will be preferred.

Scale Pay : 6600-3%-22200 (W-6)
General : The upper age limit for un-reserved category is 28 years as on 30.11.2010 which is  relaxable by 05 years for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates; 03 years for candidates from Other Backward Classes (Non-creamy layer) in respect of vacancies reserved for the respective categories and an additional 10 years for Physically Challenged Candidates.  Age relaxation for Ex-servicemen will be as per Government Rules. Further age relaxation may be considered in the cases where candidates possess experience of working in /for shipyards at the discretion of the Management.
