BIRAP is a unique program initiated by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, to mentor, support and nurture innovation in Biotechnology Industry of India. To implement its mandate BIRAP is looking for highly motivated industry experienced scientists who can take up this activity as a big challenge.

Positions Vacant at BIRAP
Program Manager - Intellectual Property

Qualification: M.Sc/ M.Tech (1st Division)/ Ph,D in Life Sciences with a good knowledge of Intellectual property rights and expertise in patents and a work experience of minimum 3 to 4 years in filing and prosecuting patent applications, searching literature and patents. In addition, preference will be given to a Qualified Patent agent and/ or a diploma holder in Intellectual property from a recognized law college or Institute.

Job description: Co-ordination of IP related tasks including assessment of technologies in biotechnology area for IP protection, patentability assessment, freedom-to-operate searches, advising clients for generation of IP, managing IP portfolio, drafting IP policies etc.

Salary: Rs. 35,000/- PM (Consolidated)

Program Manager - Technology Transfer

Qualification: M.Sc/ M.Tech (1' Division)/ Ph.D in Life Sciences with a good knowledge of Technology Transfer, Intellectual property and a work experience of minimum 3 to 4 years in technology evaluation, IP valuation, technology transfer, contract drafting etc. In addition, preference will be given to candidates with a Law/Business development degree from a recognized university.

Job Description: Co-ordination of various aspects of technology transfer including evaluation, IP valuation, drafting license agreements, assignments, technology transfer agreements, drafting contracts, MTA, MOU etc.
Salary: Rs. 35,000/- PM (Consolidated)
