WALK-IN-INTERVIEW on 24.08.2010

The SLIET, Longowal will conduct Walk-in-Interview for making contract appointments to the following posts indifferent disciplines for the session 2010-2011:

A. Assistant Professor - Consolidated Salary Rs.30,000/- per month.

Qualifications:
Assistant Professor in Engineering/Technology: Qualifications : B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in relevant branch, with First Class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech.

Note : In case the candidates with above qualifications become un-available, then the candidate with first class at B.E./B.Tech. level in relevant discipline will be considered. They will be designated as Pro-rata Lecturer and will be paid consolidated salary of Rs.25.000/- per month.

Assistant Professor in Humanities & Sciences:
Qualifications:
i) Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with First Class or equivalent grade where grading system is practiced at the Master's degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC. CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
iii) Preference will be given for First Class Master's and First Class Bachelor's Degree holders.
iv) Ph.D. in appropriate field of Science will be given priority.

Note : In case the candidates with above qualifications become un-available, then the candidate with first class at M.Sc./M.A. level in relevant discipline will be considered. They will be designated as Pro-rata Lecturer and will be paid consolidated salary of Rs.25,000/-permonth.

B. Technician - Consolidated salary Rs.15.000/- per month.

Qualification for Technician in Engineering & Technology: 3 years diploma course or equivalent in the relevant trade of Engg./Tech. with one year professional/ industrial experience in relevant field after acquiring the minimum qualifications. (OR) Certificate course in relevant trade of Engg./Tech. from an ITI or equivalent and four years professional/industrial experience in relevant field after acquiring minimum qualifications.

Qualification for Technician In Science: B.Sc. in appropriate branch of Science having atleast 55% marks with one year professional / industrial experience in the relevant field after acquiring the minimum qualifications.

Interested candidates should bring complete bio-data alongwith original and attested copies of their certificates in support of their educational/professional qualifications on 23.08.2010 for the posts from S.No. 1 to 3 (for both A.P. & Technicians), on 24.08.2010 for the post from S.No. 4 to 7 at 09:00 A.M. onwards in the Administrative Block, SLIET, Longowal. No TA will be given for appearing in the interview.

Note:
1. The reservation will be as per Government of India Rules.
2. This is merely a stop gap arrangement and the selected candidate has no right for regularization.
