Applications are invited from suitable candidates to fill up various temporary project positions in various research projects on yearly contractual basis as indicated below and in operation at the Centre for Atmospheric Sciences, IIT, Hauz Khas, New Delhi. The positions would be for the duration of the project.
1. Project Scientist: Rs. 22,000-26,800 pm - consolidated)
Qualification: 1" Class M.Tech in Atmospheric Sciences / Meteorology / Oceanography /Physics / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Sciences / Agro meteorology or equivalent with good academic record OR 1sr Class M.Sc. with minimum of 2 years research experience in
Atmospheric Sciences / Agro meteorology with good academic record OR 1" Class B. Tech in Computer Sciences with 2 years working experience in High Performance Computing use in atmospheric science. Experience in weather and climate studies is desired.
2. Project Associate (PA): ( Rs. 20,000-24,000 pm - consolidated)
Essential Qualification: 1st class M.Sc. / B.Tech in Meteorology / Oceanography/ Physics/ Statistics/ Mathematics / Agro-meteorology / Computer Science or 1SI Class MCA.
3. Sr. Project Assistant (SPA): ( Rs. 16,000-20000 pm - consolidated) (Tech.)
Essential Qualification: M.Sc. / MCA with experience in computer programming or Graduate In Science with 8 years working experience in Computer Application.
4. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / Senior Research Fellow (SRF) ( Rs. 12000 - 14000 pm)
Essential Qualification: First class M.Sc. in meteorology, mathematics, statistics or physics with consistent gonri academic career. For SRF the candidate may 1st class M.Tech. in atmospheric science OR 1st class MCA with two years’ experience familiarity in meteorological data handling and analysis / 1" class M.Sc. and two years post M.Sc. research experience in Meteorology/Atmospheric Science/Statistics. The selected candidates will be entitled to register for Ph.D. programme subject to fulfilment of IIT norms.
