The CG&CRI is one of the premier Institutes of CSIR and is currently pursuing several major R&D programmes of national importance. Major research groups of the Institute are : specialty glasses, specialized optical fibre, Sol-gel processing of glass and ceramics, nano-structured glass and ceramics, engineering ceramics (both oxides and non-oxides), ceramics for bio-medical applications, ceramic membranes, refractories , ceramic sensor, solid oxide fuel cell batteries and traditional ceramics (white ware and red clay pottery) etc.
The institute invites applications from bonafide Indian citizens for the following Technical positions:
Post Code: T-01: Technical Assistant - Gr.III(1) - SC- One post
Pay Band 2 of Rs. 9300-34800/- plus Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- plus allowances
Total emoluments in this pay band & grade pay at Naroda will be Rs 22,000/-(approximately)
Essential: 1st Class B.Sc. (Sci) with One year full time diploma certificate in Computer from a recognized Institute/ Organisation
Desirable: 1. At least one year experience in Govt./Private Sector in the area
Age limit: 33 years
Post Code: T-02: Technician (1) -Gr.II(1) One UR
Pay Band -1 of Rs. 5200-20200 plus Grade Pay Rs. 1900/- plus allowances
Total emoluments in this pay band & grade pay at Naroda will be Rs 12,000/- (approximately)
Essential: SSC/10th standard with science subjects with 55% marks plus ITI Certificate or National/State trade Certificate in mechanical Engineering.
Desirable: Licence for driving ‘Light Motor Vehicle and knowledge of minor repairing of the cars.
Age limit: 28 years
