Lead Consultant - Information Technology
Place: Madurai-Tamil Nadu

 Description

• Analyze existing programs and applications
• Formulate logic for new programs, applications, and systems, including procedures and flowcharting
• Develop data conversion and system implementation plans
• Prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation
• Recommend changes in development, maintenance and system standards
• Leverage and manage co-source/outsource technology partners for project delivery and support to ensure service meets SLAs and quality standards
• Provide code peer reviews where appropriate and in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Additional Responsibilities
• Maintain expertise in trends, products, and services available for the application of technology to Benefits business processes
• Take action on potential development risks and issues and provides proposals for solutions to leadership if escalation is required
• Monitor application performance and reliability, implementing optimization changes as needed
• Make programs and applications production ready by moving them to libraries, following procedures, and completing version controlled forms and documents

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Science, or related field.
• Strong understanding and hands on experience with Benefits Annual Enrollment
• Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft COBOL and SQR programming language
• Strong knowledge of UNIX commands and shell programming
• Strong knowledge of PeopleTools Application Designer (for developing People Code programs)
• Experience maintaining PeopleSoft Benefits Administration COBOL program
• Knowledge of PL/SQL programming and Stored Procedures
• Excellent analytical skills
• Effective communicator, including technical documentation writing

Preferred Qualifications
• Thorough understanding of Benefit business processes (US and Global)
• Experience with employee and employer insurance contribution accounting processes
• Familiarity with HR technology applications across Human Resources disciplines
• Strong systems development life cycle process knowledge
• SEI/CMM Level 3 or higher certification
• Strong change management process knowledge
• ITIL certification
• Strong relationship management skills
• Proven ability to influence and promote ideas
• Deep background in application acquisition, development, deployment, maintenance, and support technology
