The Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology is one of the National Institute under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research which is an autonomous body. It is located on a 250 acres of land with the backdrop of snow-covered peaks of Dhluladhar Range in salubrious climate. The Institute is engaged in research and technology development programmes for sustainable management of bioresources of the Himalayas. The Institute has successfully carried out mission-oriented projects on tea, temperate floriculture and aromatic plants and is well equipped for Tissue culture and Biotechnology. Facilities include Tea Processing Unit, FRP greenhouses and equipments like GC-MS, FT-IR, Ultrascan, Automated DNA sequencers, Phospho imager, Q-TOF, XL Laser densitometer, HPLCs, IMALDI-TOF, CONFOCAL MICROSCOPY, CO2 Extractor, FPLC, HP-TLC, IRGA, NMR, Scintillation counter, computer networking etc.
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following posts:1: Scientist Gr. IV (2) -Veterinarian Pathology (01 Post -UR)
Essential Qualifications and Experience: Ph.D in Veterinary Pathology with one year expenence
2: Scientist Group IV (2) -Animal Breeding & Genetics (01 Post -SC)
Essential Qualifications and Experience: Ph.D in Animal Breeding & Genetics/Animal Biotechnology/Medical sciences with one year experience.
3. Scientist Gr. IV (2) -Ecology (01 Post -UR)
(for High Altitude Research Centre at Ribbling in Lahul & Spiti)
Essential Qualifications and Experience: Ph.D. in Botany / Forestry/ Ecology with one year experience in survey.
4: Scientist Gr. IV (2) -Food Microbiology (01 Post -UR)
Essential Qualifications and Experience: Ph.D. in Food Science / Food Technology OR equivalent area with one year experience in the area of food microbiology.
5 :Scientist Gr. IV (2) -Plant Molecular Biology (01 Post -OBC)
Essential Qualifications and Experience: Ph.D. in Life Sciences with one year research experience in plant transgenic.
6: Scientist Gr. IV (2) -Pharmacology (01 Post -DR)
Essential Qualifications and Experience: Ph.D.(Pharmacology/ Life Sciences/ Biotechnology) with I year experience in the area of pharmacology.
7. Scientist Gr. IV (2) -Agrochemicals & Pest Management (01 Post -OBC)
Essential Qualification and Experience: Ph.D. in Agricultural Entomology/ Agrochemicals Zoology (Entomology) with one year experience in the area of evaluation of pesticides.
8. Technical Group III (4) -Nanotechnology (01 Post -UR)
Essential Qualifications and Experience: 1st class BSc. in chemical sciences with eight years experience OR M.Sc. in chemical sciences with minimum of 55% marks with six years experience
9: Technical Group III (3)-Molecular biology (01 Post -UR)
Essential qualification: 1st class B.Sc. in any area of Biological sciences with five years experience in relevant field OR B.Tech. (Biotech.) /.M.Sc. in any area of biological sciences with mimmum of55% marks with three years expenence ill the relevant field.
10. Technical Group III (3) -Chemical engineering (01 Post -UR)
Essential Qualifications: B. Tech/ B.E. (Chemical Engineering) with three year experience OR M.Sc. (Industrial Chemistry) OR equivalent degree from recognized University/Institute with 55% marks with three years experience.
11. Technical Group III (3 ) Animal House-02 Posts (1 Post OBC & 1 Post SC)
Essential Qualifications: 1st class B.Sc (zoology, botany, chemistry or equivalent with five years experience OR B.V.Sc. /M.Sc in Life science OR equivalent degree from recognized University / Institute with 55% marks with three years experience.
12. Technical Group III (1 ) Regulatory facility (01 Post -OBC)
Essential Qualifications: Ist class B.Sc. in the area of life sciences or equivalent
13:· Technician Group II (1) -Knowledge Management [01 Post -UR-PH-(Hearing Impairment)
Essential Qualifications and Experience : SSC/ 10th standard with 50% marks in the aggregate and ITI certificate in data entry and computer applications OR SSC/ HSC/1 2 th in science with Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects and a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.

2. Technical Gr.-III(4) Pay Band of Rs. 15600-39100 with G.P. Rs. 5400:in PB 3, 35 years
3. Technical Gr. -III (3) Pay Band ofRs. 9300-34800 with G.P. Rs. 460d in PB 2, 30 years
3. Technical Gr.-III(l) Pay Band of Rs. 9300-34800 with G.P. Rs. 4200 in PB 2, 28 years
